Labelled the 'lucky country', Australia has experienced uninterrupted annual GDP growth for almost three decades due, by and large, to the structural reforms of the 1980s and mining boom. The country's prime pillar sector is slated to slow down somewhat in the coming years, but while this decline has been anticipated and is unlikely to be a major cause for concern, it does mean investors may start to look towards Australia's residential property market as a viable alternative. Yet it's not just domestic entrepreneurs who are seeking investment opportunities in the country's bourgeoning real estate sector, a rising number of Asian HNWIs are also choosing the triple A-rated safe haven as a place to purchase property.
