The couple charged with severely abusing a 12-year-old migrant girl are believed to have fled prosecution.

Mueang Kamphaengphet police has revealed that Nathi Taeng-on and Rattanakon Piyaworatham, the couple charged with the torture of a 12-year-old Karen migrant, have not reported to investigators by the deadline. Officials believe the two suspects have already fled, as they were found to have left the area and withdrawn 1 million baht in cash.

The chief of Provincial Police Region 6 has ordered officials to track down the suspects, and has also set a 100,000 baht reward money for anyone who provides the police with information leading to the arrest of the couple.
