The 2012 Ramkhamhaeng University Political Science Alumni Awards take place tomorrow at Vibhavadee Ballroom of the Centara Grand Central Plaza, Lat Phrao. Put together by Suthikiati Chirathivat, president of the alumni, the event kicks off at 7pm with university president Asst Prof Wutisak Lapcharoensap presiding over the evening.

The highlight will be a speech by former secretary-general of Asean, Dr Surin Pitsuwan, on the topic "Thailand Political and Economic Integration in AEC", which is open to the public. AEC stands for Asean Economic Community.
Fourteen eminent persons selected by the alumni's nomination committee will be conferred with awards. These include government officials, businessmen, political figures and people of reputation who have contributed to the good of society and country.
This is the second time the alumni will be honouring people of note.
