Tamarine Tanasugarn's run in the US$75,000 Dunlop World Tennis Challenge ended with a straight sets defeat to Stefanie Voegele of Switzerland in Toyota, Japan yesterday.
The fifth-seeded Thai struggled to hold her serves against her big-serving and hard-hitting world No 116 opponent and lost the semi-final 6-3 6-3.
Tamarine will join her countrywomen Luksika Khumkum, Noppawan Lertcheewakarn, Nudnida Luangnam and Varatchaya Wongteanchai in their final event of the season in Dubai, which starts tomorrow.
