Peace is so close, yet so far

Re: "Conspiracy theories: Half may be worth your attention", Thai Talk, November 22.

Suthichai Yoon's latest comment made me realise how deep the cleavage is between the two opposing political sides in our country. So much so that long-retired soldiers on both sides had to come out clattering their false teeth to scare each other.

It would be great if Thaksin Shinawatra should decide to keep his hands off politics for a change; and thus stop running other people's lives.

All this much ado about nothing will suddenly come to an end. And life in this country will again become meaningful and happy for everybody.

How strange it is: peace for all is very possible indeed - if only one man thinks it is.
