Polycom Inc has announced the appointment of Brad Gray as Regional Director, South East Asia, to oversee business management and drive sales momentum across these territories.
His responsibilities include business development in emerging markets such as Indonesia, Vietnam and Thailand.
Gray has more than 22 years of experience in IT, telecommunications, and enterprise networking so Polycom believes his experience will contribute to the expanding of Polycom's partner base for South East Asia, which will also include strengthening the relationships with service providers, particularly for hosted solutions.
He joins Polycom with a highly specialised background in business development, partner relationship management and strategy for multinational vendors. Prior to Polycom, Gray spent over 11 years as a member of Juniper Networks' leadership in Asia Pacific, where he re-architected the partner strategy for the company and led the region to considerable revenue growth with annual revenues of around $200 million. His previous experience also includes management positions with Bay Networks and 3Com in Indonesia.
"The South East Asia market is one with tremendous new opportunities for Polycom's growth," said Michael Alp, President, Polycom Asia Pacific.
"I am delighted that Brad has joined our strong leadership team in Asia; with his in-depth knowledge of the region and keen emphasis on partner enablement, I am confident he will successfully address each of the unique opportunities and challenges of this diverse market."
Gray has extensive business and cultural experience across Asia Pacific. He has lived and worked in several countries in Asia - including Indonesia and Singapore - and has a proven track record in establishing new business operations, formulating successful strategic partner plans, and managing tightly integrated sales, marketing, and channel teams.
"I am very pleased to be a part of the Polycom team and have the opportunity to bring to market groundbreaking innovations and industry-transforming solutions," said Gray. "Together with our broad partner ecosystem, we are poised to drive even wider adoption of video collaboration. I am looking forward to furthering the great relationships we have with our partners and forging new ones."
