Bangkok, 13 May 2013, (NNT)– Pheu Thai Spokesperson Prompong Nopparit on Sunday responded to his Democrats counterpart Chavanond Intarakomalyasut's accusation, saying that it was 'nonsense'.
The Democrats Party has claimed that Prime Minister's Secretary General Suranand Vejjajiva has been actively trying to prevent international media interviewing the opposition leader, Abhisit Vejjajiva. The opposition party also demanded the secretary general's resignation.
Mr. Prompong blasted the Democrats Party that it wasted its time on this groundless accusation instead of performing its duty monitoring the government's moves, reporting them to the public, and working with the government for the benefit of all people.
The ruling party's spokesperson said that there were no emails sending from the Prime Minister's Secretary General to foreign press, stressing that Mr. Suranand would definitely not intervene with international media, which is in violation of Article 46 of the kingdom's constitution.
