Amazon app store expands reach to almost 200 countries

Amazon has announced that it will expand its Android-based app store to cover nearly 200 countries and territories.



Previously the Android-based Amazon Appstore was only available in the US, the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain and Japan. However Amazon's app distribution service will now cover close to 200 countries and territories including additions like Australia, Latin American countries including Brazil and Mexico, Canada, India, South Africa and South Korea.


The app store is also accepting submissions from app developers interested in creating content for these new markets; interested developers can submit their creations at: http://goo.gl/tjF0p 


Amazon is expected to implement this international roll-out over the coming months.
