Symantec Security Response has warned women to be cautious against unsolicited mails, saying spammers could capitalise on the International Women's Day.
Symantec said it came as no surprise then that spammers attempted to take advantage of the International Women's Day, an occasion to express love, respect and kindness toward women that is celebrated on March 8 annually.
Symantec Security Response has observed a spam campaign that targets users by providing fake gift offers for International Women's Day.
In some other spam samples, spammers have enticed targets with health products for women. The following email subject have been observed in this attack:
- Subject: Body and Soul women's weight loss
- Subject: Workouts for Women
- Subject: Women try to balance fitness, safety
Symantec advised women to be cautious with unsolicited or unexpected emails and not be fooled by fake gift and product offers.
