Samui will host its first charity Midnight Run on March 30.
Starting from Chaweng Beach, the race leads runners through Samui's nightspots and watering holes such as The Reggae Pub and a string of Samui bars. The charity and fun runs are designed for five and 10 kilometres and the cost of participation is Bt400 and Bt800 per person respectively. Chill before your flight
Bangkok Airways has recently opened a new Boutique lounge at Chiang Mai International Terminal to serve passengers with connecting flights on international routes. All passengers may enjoy the airline's clean and comfortable boutique lounges, which featuring a courtesy corner where passengers can treat themselves to a multitude of free snacks and various choices of hot or cold drinks. Passengers can also enjoy free Internet access from one of several computer booths. There's also a Boutique Lounge at Chiang Mai's domestic terminal.
History on the hill
Phra Nakhon Khiri Historical Park aka Khao Wang, Phetchaburi province, celebrates its annual festival from March 28 to April 6 with plenty of entertainment and fun. Ram wong, folk dancing, a dessert contest, cultural shows and an astronomy workshop are among the highlights. Built on the top of forested hillside with King's Rama IV's palace and a series of temples and shrines, Khao Wang is about two hours to Bangkok's south.
The best in boats
The region's most successful marine and lifestyle show will kick off tomorrow with up to 60 power boats and yachts measuring from 10 to 35 metres at the Royal Phuket Marina. As many as 120 companies representing more than 250 international brands from as far afield as Australia, Europe and the USA, as well as Asia and China, are exhibiting both on water and at the luxury lifestyle exhibition centre.
