Democrat MP Picharnmet dies of cancer

Democrat party-list MP Picharnmet Muangmanee died of cancer early Wednesday morning. He was 67 years old.

Democrat spokesman Chavanon Intharakomalsut said Picharnmet, a former Third Army Area commander, died at 3 am.

Funeral service will be held at the Phrasing Temple in Chiang Mai's Muang district for seven days.

He will be replaced as party-list MP by Isara Sunthornwat.
