44 projects for Cabinet's consideration

The Cabinet will tomorrow consider 44 investment projects at the mobile meeting in Chacheongsao.

The projects worth totally Bt24 billion are screened by the Office of the National Economic and Social Development Board, said Chachoengsao Governor Rerngsak Mahavinitchaimontri while welcoming Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra to the province.

According to the governor, Chachoengsao is ranked 9th in terms of revenue generation to the country. It is tapping a Bt100 million budget to improve road space, to accommodate the automotive and auto-parts industry's transportation, link tourist destinations, and stabilise egg production cost.

Ban Pho in Chachoengsao locates Toyota's main production plant. Yingluck on Saturday visited the plant, which has the annual capacity of 228,000 passenger cars.

While meeting with Kyoichi Tanada, president of Toyota Motor Thailand, she promised supports to turn Chachoengsao into an eco-town. Tanada expressed supports to Thailand, vowing to address any problem as Chachoengsao is like another home to Toyota.
