BANGKOK, 15 February 2013 – Celebrations for Valentine’s Day go into full swing as crowds flock to flower markets and couples parade to sign marriage certificates in Bang Rak district.

Through a lucky draw, the Bang Rak District Office is offering 12 gold marriage certificates to 12 lucky couples who register their marriage at the office on Thursday.

Bang Rak District Chief Suachana Sudcharoen said the office offers marriage registration service between 7am and 3pm on Valentine's Day. This year, he expected over 1,000 couples to tie the knot in the district, which is popular for marrying couples due to its amorous name.

Meanwhile, in the South, 32 couples participating in Trang province’s lavish underwater wedding ceremony have been welcomed by Governor Theerayuth Iamtrakul and his delegates. The Trang Underwater Wedding Festival is this year scheduled between February 13-15.
