Siam Commercial Bank, in collaboration with the Seub Nakhasathien Foundation, is organising an exhibition dubbed "In the Heart of the Jungle... The Jungle in the Heart" featuring about 50 artworks in various genres by more than 40 renowned Thai artists.
In the Heart of the Jungle... The Jungle in the Heart runs at the Thai BankMuseumlocated at the head office of Siam Commercial Bank on Ratchadaphisek Road until March 29. The formal opening is on Wednesday at 3.30pm. Themuseumopens weekdays from 9.30am to 5pm. Free admission. Call 02-544-4526 or 02-544-3858.
The exhibition aims to help promote awareness of the need for preservation of the Western Forest Complex.
These protected territories form a unique and rich source of wildlife and watershed forests.
Participating artists are Tawee Ratchaneekorn, a national artist in visual arts (painting), Panya Wijintanasarn, Sompop Butraj and Winai Prabripoo.
Through paintings, sculpture, mixed media and installation art, they wish to encourage the public and the younger generation to consider and understand the importance of forest biodiversity and environmental conservation.
