Grand events on Thai traditional medicine to be launched in 5 regions

BANGKOK, 15 February 2013 – The Public Health Ministry has joined hands with five provinces in five regions in promoting traditional Thai medicines by holding five grand events. The first in the series will be launched in the North on February 20th.


The Department for Development of Thai Traditional and Alternative Medicine and alliances will host the grand events for the promotion of Thai traditional medicines. The events will be held in the north, northeast, east, west, and south of Thailand, consisting of exhibitions, herbal promotions, cultural demonstrations, and health service.


Phitsanulok will be the first to hold the event during February 20-22 at the Lower North Cultural Center, Wang Chan River View. Rayong will host the event at Star IT Plaza Mall during May 16-18. The southern province of Trang will hold the activities at Robinson Department Store and Rua Rasada Hotel during May 21-23. The fourth province is Kanchanaburi, where the event will take place at the provincial municipality during June 4-6. And Nakhon Ratchasima is the last province, holding the event at the Mall Shopping Center during June 7-9.
