Govt House's temperature raised

Written By Unknown on Wednesday, 20 February 2013 | 01:24

Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra today ordered the adjustment in Government House's air-condioning temperature, to set an example for all government units.

The temperature is raised from 23 degree celcius to 25. The temperature is usually kept as low as 20 degree celcius when the Government House hosts a reception.

The move followed the Cabinet's resolution on February 19 to have all government units cut down their electricity consumption, ahead of a possible electricity shortage in April.

The government will also launch the energy-saving campaign at the Government House on April 5.
