BANGKOK, 18 February 2013 – The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has instructed all district offices to keep running public relations campaigns to draw as many eligible voters as possible to cast their votes in the Bangkok gubernatorial election on March 3.
BMA Permanent Secretary Ninnart Chalitanon said every district is fully prepared and ready for the upcoming Bangkok Governor election.
However, Ms. Ninnart stated that all district officials have been instructed to continue with the PR campaigns to disseminate information and encourage people to exercise their voting right.
The planned campaigns include such strategies as billboards and door-to-door visits by PR teams.
With statistics showing the capital residents cast their votes in the general elections more than in the Bangkok Governor election, the BMA Permanent Secretary believes that continuous PR election campaigns will help attract more Bangkok voters to visit the polling booths this time.
