Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone has urged Thailand forward Teerasil Dangda currently on trial at the Spanish club to play more aggressively if he wants to become a better player.

Having got a chance to take a close look at the 24yearold Teerasil, whose trial was extended from two weeks to a month, Simeone said the Muang Thong United player is already equipped with all the necessary skills for a striker but needed to add aggression to his play.

The Argentine coach, in his second season in charge of the Madridbased team, which is flying high in second spot in the La Liga standings, also believed if Teerasil hoped to maximise benefit from his brief stay at the club he needed to put in more intensity in training.

Teerasil, who inspired his club to its third domestic title in four years by notching up 24 goals in 29 league appearances last season, said he was ready to follow Simeone's words on the path to become one of the leading strikers.

"I felt good to hear those words from the coach, a worldclass midfielder during his playing career. He wanted me to take training more seriously in order to develop myself further. His words would guide me on how to become a topclass player."

The Thai further said he now became more acclimatised to the cold weather in the Iberian nation after five days of training.

"It was very cold for me in my first four days in Spain. But, I now seemed to get acclimatised to the conditions here. It's still cold but I felt much better."
