The TAT invites all to the annual floral festival in Udon Thani called ''Blooming Red Water Lilies in Nong Han, Kumphawapi'' throughout this month. Visitors can enjoy the beauty of hundreds of thousands of red water lilies in the 22,500-rai Nong Han lake.
Nong Han lake in Udon Thani is full of blooming water lilies in the cool season.
Other activities include cultural performances by local students, displays of paintings and photos and singing, aerobic dancing and ponglang music contests plus a beauty pageant and the sale of local goods and handicrafts.
All visitors are invited to pay respects to Phra Maha That Thep Chinda stupa at Wat Ban Diam. From Feb 9-10, couples who wish to tie the knot can join the special mass-wedding ceremony called Wiwa Larn Bua amid millions of water lilies.

Farming fair in Ang Thong
The ''Farm Produce and Prized Products of Ang Thong Fair'' will take place at Wat Khun Inthapramoon in Ang Thong's Pho Thong district, from Feb 8-17. The aim is to promote farming, fishing, cattle-raising, irrigation works and local products as well as to boost cultural tourism in Ang Thong province.
Activities include exhibitions on agriculture, fisheries, livestock development, irrigation work, co-operatives, Thai cuisine, rice, farm produce and fish. There will also be decorative plant contests, the sale of local products, tree saplings, local food and products under royal projects as well as traditional massage, Muay Thai and ramwong dancing. The highlight will be a light and sound show on the legend of Wat Khun Inthapramoon.
Visitors can also visit the province's Nong Jed Sen Garden and Wat Chantharangsi.

Tribute to Chao Phor Phaya Lae
The northeastern province of Chaiyaphum will host its annual Chao Phor Phaya Lae Fair from Jan 12-20 in front of the statue of Phraya Pakdeechumpol (Lae) in the compound of the provincial hall.
The fair will feature a spectacular parade in which participants pay respects to Chao Phor Phaya Lae, exhibitions, a beauty pageant, a silk fashion show, concerts and art performances and sales of local products.

Celebrating Thai Phuan culture in Phrae
The TAT's Phrae Office invites tourists to the annual Kam Fa Tradition celebrations to be held on Feb 11-13 at tambon Thung Hong Municipality's sports stadium, Muang district of Phrae. The objectives are to conserve this old tradition, local ways of life and wisdom and to pay respects to the ancestors of the Thai Phuan people of Ban Thung Hong who migrated from Phuan in Xiang Khuang province of central Laos in the early 19th century.
The community was formerly called Ban Thang Hong since the word thang means a blacksmith's tool and almost all the families there were blacksmiths in the past. At present, the villagers are famed for making cotton clothes dyed a natural blue called Pha Mor Hom. The village was also named an Otop Village Champion for its handicraft tourism.
The event will feature a display of the Thai Phuan way of life, a parade, stage performances, exhibitions, the sale of products by the public sector and local schools, and various other activities.
