PMs TV talk show celebrates National Childrens Day

BANGKOK, 14 January 2013 – Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra appeared in her weekly TV program on NBT on National Children’s Day on Saturday with a group of children. The premier asked them to be good kids and assured them that the government would take care of children nationwide.

During the show, PM Yingluck, in a casual manner, met with 59 children who won the government’s essay competition and asked them about what they wanted. Most of the children answered that they wanted to meet Ms Yingluck and wanted Thailand to have happiness. They thanked the PM for giving them an opportunity to join in the TV program today.


The children also told Ms Yingluck about their knowledge on ASEANâ€"the topic they perceived as important given Thailand will be part of the ASEAN Economic Community in 2015.


The premier said she wanted Thai children to be good to their parents and teachers, focus on studying and never stop learning.
