From Jan 15 to Feb 28, Muthi Maya, the upscale, pool-villa only resort on the northern boundary of Khao Yai National Park, is offering a package that promises to give its guests an experience of a literally higher level.
The Ballooning Adventure Package, also available to guests of its nearby sister property Kirimaya, includes one night accommodation plus a flight on a hot air balloon followed by a private champagne breakfast.
The flight, which lasts 45-60 minutes depending on weather condition, takes place very early in the morning. But by the time the breakfast and the certificate presentation ritual are done, you'll have only an hour or two left before check-out time. So you may need to book another night if you wish to enjoy more time at the resort known as one of the most romantic hideaways.
