BANGKOK, 30 January 2013 (NNT) â" An international transport company has opened a new branch in Thailand, aiming to cater to customers in the Asia-Pacific.
FedEx Trade Networks, a subsidiary of FedEx Corporation, has launched the first branch in Bangkok. With this new branch, the company now has 17 branches in the Asia-Pacific region, including those in Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, Vietnam, Beijing and many other cities in China.
Fedex Trade Networks Vice President for Asia Joseph Frank said the new office in Bangkok is vital to the growth of the company in this region, as many of its customers require import-export services in the area.
According to FedEx, the logistics market in Thailand has been growing rapidly. In 2011, the logistics market was valued at over 2 billion US dollars, a 2.3% increase from 2010′s. The company expected the value to increase to 3.3 billion US dollars per year by 2015.
