US stocks fall

Washington - Wall Street stock indices were off Friday.

The blue-chip Dow Jones Industrial Average slipped 35.71 points, or 0.27 per cent, to 13,135.01. The broader Standard Poor's 500 Index lost 5.87 points, or 0.41 per cent, to 1,413.58. The technology-heavy Nasdaq Composite Index fell 20.83 points, or 0.7 per cent, to 2,971.34.

The US currency was trading at 75.98 euro cents and 83.52 yen.//DPA
