The Tulip Group have revealed their interior design schemes for the Centara Grand Resort Spa Jomtien, which are based upon the concept of "Diving into Luxury". Interior design for the resort aims to reflect an opulent underwater world, particularly in the public areas of the resort to create the impression that guests are beneath the ocean. Luxury design company P49 Deesign has been selected as the main designer for the hotel.
The concept of "diving" into a luxurious hotel is the first of its kind in Pattaya, where designers have taken sea life as their inspiration to create an elegant and comfortable place for guests.
Carl Almeida, one of the partners at P49Deesign, revealed that designers have tried to emulate the multitude of bubbles one could encounter beneath the ocean's surface by introducing a central bubbling water feature to greet guests as they enter the resort. In addition, Almeida added that, "This idea of 'bubble' has been developed into the concept of the main lighting feature above, that is made from clusters of tiny glass balls that sprawls into other areas".
Another feature that will help create an underwater illusion at the resort includes a feature wall that will be developed from an organic form of coral, using simple shapes arranged in different angles to produce a three dimensional wall. The rest of the interior will be dominated by the simple colours of the grey, white and black stone that has been selected.
Centara Grand Resort and Spa Jomtien will be the third tower of the complex, which will contain two more condominium towers under the brand name Centara Grand Residence Pattaya, positioned on a sea front area of land measuring just over 28,800 sq m.
The concept for the condominium development aims to design a project for exclusive, luxury living with large room sizes. The development will comprise 331 rooms, with a large proportion of the units available being two bedroom properties of 128 sq m and above. Units containing three bedrooms and four bathrooms with access to private swimming pools are already proving popular, as larger, sea-view properties are in limited supply on today's market.
This project is one of the most exclusive resorts to be developed in Pattaya to date, and upon its completion will be managed by Centara Hotels and Resorts.
