Action sought against PM, 2 others

The Green Politics group on Wednesday petitioned the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) to investigate and take legal action against Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra and two other people for allowing Channel 11 to broadcast live former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra's speech from Macau on Sunday.

The two others named in the petition are Prime Minister's Office Minister Sansanee Nakpong and Public Relations Department chief and Channel 11 director Thirapong Sodasri.

The three were accused of malfeasance in violation of Article 157 of the Criminal Code.

Chaturan Boonbenjarat, an assistant coordinator of Green Politics, said the live broadcast of Thaksin's speech in the opening of a Muay Thai event was clearly pre-planned as it was also relayed by Asia Update, a cable television station of the red-shirts, despite the fact that Thaksin is wanted under arrest warrants.
