Police said on Sunday that they only found one body off the coast of Surat Thani province, in contrast to the fishermen's report that they saw four bodies.
Previously, the fishermen told police that they discovered four bodies about 17 nautical miles from the shore in the Gulf of Thailand.
When a team of officers arrived, they found only one body (previous story).
