Sonchat and Sanchai Ratiwatana will eye their ninth Challenger trophy of the season tomorrow after beating Australians Bryan Klein and Dane Propoggia 6-3 7-6 (10-8) to reach the final of the US$50,000 Keio Challenger International Tennis in Yokohama yesterday.
The top-seeded pair managed a double break to take the first set and survived two set points in the second set at 5-6 and 7-8 to chase yet another title. Their eighth victory came in Ningbo in September.
"We played a lot better than we did on Wednesday. They returned well and hit some good shots from the baseline. We served well in those set points," said Sanchai who wrapped up the match with his brother when the Klein returned the serve into the net.
Ranked 71st in the ATP double rankings, the twins will play either Prakash Amritraj of India and Philipp Oswald of Austria or Italians Andrea Arnaboldi and Matteo Viola in tomorrow's final.
