Thailand defeated Cuba in a five-set thriller 25-17 27-25 17-25 23-25 15-11 in the China International Women's Volleyball Tournament second leg in Shenzhen yesterday.
The Kingdom, who lost to hosts China on Wednesday, revived their fortunes with their latest victory over Cuba, whom they had beaten last week. It was also the sixth consecutive time that Thailand have defeated the three-time Olympic champions.
Thailand, who have two points from their victory, today take on Puerto Rico, the team they had beaten in straight sets last week, in their last match in the two-phase invitational tournament in China.
