Power lines in deep South to be protected from insurgents

YALA, 29 May 2013 (NNT)-Power lines located in insurgency prone Yala province will be protected as they tend to be damaged by unscrupulous people with intention to incite chaos in the restive South.




Colonel Pramote Promin, Spokesman for the southern army region, said the Fourth Army Area Commander has already been coordinating with state enterprises overseeing public infrastructure in the deep South to stand by for possible power outage due to insurgent attacks on the power lines as has been the case in Yaha and Kabang districts.




The Commander has instructed reinforcements in risk prone areas particularly in the city center of Yala.
