Philippe Starck villas launch in Bali

The Stairs Villa Hotel recently opened the sale of 12 limited-edition villas, appointing Savills as its sales partner in Singapore for the exclusive properties designed by Philippe Starck with signature glass skin façade artwork by JonOne.

Located on the southern coast of Bali, the architecture, interiors and furnishings of each self-contained villa are fully conceived and precisely curated by Starck – his first fully-envisioned hotel villa concept across the Asia-Pacific region.

"We wanted to create a new sense of a luxury lifestyle project yet to be conceived in Bali – our own interpretation of the resident communities embracing a distinct urban buzz – and Philippe Starck came immediately to mind as the one to help us achieve our vision," said Nicolas Panzani, president director of the DeCiazini Group, a privately-held investment, development and hospitality management firm.

Each one bedroom loft villa has its own 11 x 4 metre pool, multiple living and dining spaces that flow seamlessly from in- to outdoor living, two bathrooms, and a master bedroom lofted suite.

Internationally-acclaimed artist JonOne Perello collaborated on the project with the creation of first-of-its-kind artwork for each of the villa's exteriors to complement exclusive Starck-conceived signature furniture designs inside.

The Stairs is a luxury lifestyle development comprising a café/patisserie, restaurant, bar lounge, boutiques, mezzanine bibliothèque, signature spa, and workout facilities. The 12 intimate one-bedroom loft pool villas are scheduled for completion in 2014.

Owner investors will receive priority access to lifestyle amenities, which include a personal concierge for each villa, in-villa private hosted dinners, personal effects storage, workout trainers, and first-access to events.
