BANGKOK, 18 March 2013 – Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra has voiced her sympathy for the police officers who were killed during their operations in the restive South and given her moral support to all officers stationed in the area.
Prime Minister Yingluck visited the national police headquarters on Monday to deliver policy. She asked the officers to work professionally and pledged the governmentâs support for them in all aspects. On this occasion, she expressed grief over the deaths of security officials in the violence-torn southern border region.
The PM also urged the Royal Thai Police to expedite solutions to drug problems, especially in the Deep South. The premier said Deputy PM Chalerm Yubamrung would closely monitor the policeâs anti-drug operations.
Furthermore, Ms Yingluck laid stress on the issues of human trafficking law enforcement, wildlife smuggling and safety for tourists.
