The Bangkok Election Commission Tuesday decided to pass on a case against governor-elect Sukhumbhand Paribatra for allegedly framing another candidate to the national EC to rule on whether he should be disqualified.
Former senator Ruangkrai Leekitwattana filed two complaints for Facebook posts by Democrat MP Sirichok Sopha with a picture of Bangkok on fire and Seree Wongmontha's warning that the Pheu Thai Party would dominate the country if Pongsapat Pongcharoen won the ballot.
The actions were considered to frame a competitor in violation of the law.
