Bt2-trillion loans bill clears first reading

The House of Representatives Friday night approved the Bt2-trillion loans bill in the first reading after two days of debate.

The bill was passed at 9:44 pm with 284 to 152 votes.

The House set up a 36-member panel to vet the bill before returning it to the House for the second reading.
