A land of servants, slaves, cowpunchers and buffaloes

Re: Ban on critic could backfire on the govt, Editorial, March 1, 2013.

Thailand has a lot of servants, slaves, cowpunchers and buffaloes working in tandem for one person.

First: the servants. They are those in big political seats who, instead of working for the good of society and country, are studiously protecting one man's interests.

Second: the slaves. They are the country's hard-working, middle-income taxpayers. They are supposed to foot all the bills incurred by that topmost person's greed and mistakes.

Third: the cowpunchers. These people work as crowd instigators and herdsmen - for money and better positions.

Fourth: the buffaloes. They are the unknowing who go wherever they are herded the cowhands - to rally sites; and especially to the polling booths when it comes election time - to ensure that their ultimate owner perpetuates his status and power.

This is how Thailand's "democracy" works.
