Worlds biggest floating library now in Thailand

BANGKOK, 25 February 2013 (NNT) â€" The world’s biggest floating library “Logos Hope” is now on a visit to Thailand and will remain in the country until March 11 to offer Thais a wide range of interesting books and activities.

After docking at Khlong Toei port in Bangkok, the ship was welcomed by Education Minister Phongthep Thepkanjana.


The minister said the arrival of Logos Hope is intended to encourage Thai youngsters to read more as statistics show that Thai people only read 3-5 books per year


Mr. Phongthep stated that the ship is not only bringing knowledge to Thais, but also opportunities to learn English and international cultures as Logos Hope has brought on board 400 volunteers from more than 60 countries.


Visitors will find on the ship a variety of low priced books and various worthwhile activities, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. during Tuesday-Saturday, and from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. during Sunday-Monday, from now until March 11.
