BANGKOK, 1 February 2013 – The Royal Thai Consulate-General in Kota Bharu, Malaysia, will arrange the Thai Festival 2013 in three Malaysian states to promote products from the Deep South of Thailand.
Thai Consul-General to Kota Bharu Jackrid Kanjanasoon said Malaysian people would have a chance to learn more about products and food from the South of Thailand at the Thai Festival, which would be held in cooperation with the Southern Border Provinces Administrative Center (SBPAC). The consul-general hoped the event would provide more distribution channels for products from Thai southern border entrepreneurs and create business networks in a long run.
SBPAC Deputy Secretary-General Withaya Phanitchaphong added that the fair would help improve the quality of life of the locals, create jobs and guarantee their income. Highlights of the products to be sold at the fair include clothes, local fabrics, utensils, accessories, artificial flowers and herbs.
The Thai Festival 2013 is scheduled to take place from 5-11 February in Kuala Terengganu, 25 February-3 March in Kota Bharu and 7-11 March in Pahang.
