Interior Min gives water vending machines to communities surrounding Bangkok

BANGKOK, 1 February 2013 – The Interior Ministry has given water vending machines to 4 provinces surrounding Bangkok in the hope of enhancing the quality of life of people in those areas.

After presiding over the presentation of the water vending machines, Interior Minister Jarupong Ruangsuwan said the project was a very good attempt to uplift the lives of people in those areas where sanitary water is needed. He said the government has always placed an emphasis on peopleĆ¢€™s health and provided them with clean water.


According to the Provincial Waterworks Authority(PWA), 100 water vending machines have been installed in 4 provinces, including Pathum Thani, Ayutthaya, Nakhon Pathom, and Samut Sakhon.


Other than the water vending machines project, the PWA has also been implementing other community development projects requested by the Interior Ministry, like Homecare project and Water for Schools project.
