Democrat Party leader Abhisit Vejjajiva said he would file a complaint with the Administrative Court and the National Anti-Corruption Commission for a second time, saying an order by Defence Minister Sukampol Suwannathat was unlawful and Sukampol had abused his power.

He said Sukampol was confused while revealing whether Abhisit had been stripped of his military rank or not. He contradicted himself in different days. However, the Administrative Court had already accepted the complaint he had filed against Sukampol earlier. Therefore, the minister's claim that the court had no mandate was invalid.

Ministry spokesman Colonel Tanatip Sawangsaeng said yesterday that Sukampol respected the Administrative Court's mandate but would insist that the stripping of military rank of the Democrat Party leader was under the jurisdiction of the military court.

The ministry on Wednesday released the order that revoked Abhisit's commission into the Army in 1987 and his promotion to sub-lieutenant in 1988.
