Despite a long-lasting love affair with gambling that has brought widespread prosperity to the citizens of Macau, the territory is flirting with industries of the non-gaming kind.
Stepping on to Skywalk X, a narrow, no handrail walkway around the outer rim of Macau Tower is a fairly overwhelming experience. The strong winds and the 233 metre drop to the ground are unnerving at first, but the awe of the view and scale of development taking place below quickly dominate and finally give way to a feeling of exhilaration.
