Gillian Anderson will portray Bedelia Du Maurier, the personal therapist of Hannibal Lecter, in a role that spans three episodes.
Ready to launch early next year on NBC, Hannibal will revolve around one of the most famous fictional serial killers, Hannibal Lecter. He was created by novelist Thomas Harris, and was portrayed on the big screen by the likes of Bryan Cox (Manhunter), Gaspard Ulliel (Hannibal Rising) and of course Anthony Hopkins (The Silence of the Lambs, Hannibal and Red Dragon).
Mads Mikkelsen (The Three Musketeers) plays the psychotic psychiatrist Lecter in the new series, in which he builds a relationship with an unwitting FBI criminal profiler to help solve a case. Dr. Lecter soon turns into the profiler's most cunning enemy. Hugh Dancy plays the profiler, who happens to be fascinated by serial killers, and Laurence Fishburne is also part of the cast.
