Thailand’s windsurfers win medals in the youth race

On October 31st,
2012, Mr. Ittipol Khunpleum, Pattaya Mayor and President of Thailand's Windsurfing
Association; Mr.Pattana Boonsawad, Advisor to the Windsurfing Association of
Thailand, together with members of the committee, jointly issued a press
release announcing the successful participation of its youth team at the
  Youth World Windsurfing Championship last
month in Taiwan.



Mr. Ittipol Khunpleum revealed for this
competition the windsurfing association had sent four athletes all under 19
years  old to take part in the event  All 
the athletes performed  very
well,  especially "Nong Tong", Natthanon
Chui, a new star who achieved  third
place.  The Windsurfing Association are
rightly proud of this success.



Pattaya City continues to support its athletes
and granted funds of 100,000 Baht to assist their sportsmen in preparing to
take part in the Youth Olympics, taking place in August 2014. These young
athletes will also compete in other up and coming events such as, the Hong Kong
Open in November 2012, The Singapore Open, the Penang Open and the South Korean
Open in 2013.



The Windsurfing Association has committed itself to the
development of youth sports , in various events, ensuring these young sportsmen
are able to perform at their best , hopefully emulating  "Nong Dao", Ms. Siriporn Kaewduang-Ngam, who
won a gold medal at the Youth Olympic Games in 2010.
