GIS honors war dead

Students, teachers and staff of Garden International School assembled to remember those who have died in armed conflict around the world. In honor of Remembrance Day, everyone wore a poppy.

Dr Stuart Tasker, school principal, told last week's special assembly why Remembrance Day is significant and why people wear poppies out of respect for the dead. Following a moment of silence, students Berenice and Yogesh recited poems related to war: 'For the Fallen' and 'In Flanders Fields'.
