His Royal Highness Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn Monday flew a Thai Airways jet from Suvarnabhumi to Khon Kaen airport to raise funds for his foundation supporting underprivileged students around the country.

On arrival, the Crown Prince, accompanied by Princess Srirasmi and their son Prince Dipangkorn Rasmijoti, led VIP guests to pay respects to the Buddha's relics at Pa Wiwekdham Temple and make merit.

Each passenger contributed Bt500,000 and additional donations brought total proceeds to Bt50.63 million from the special flight, held to celebrate his fifth-cycle birthday on July 28.
