Have you ever clicked your fingers to get the attention of an air hostess while you are 10km above the ground? If the answer is yes, you annoyed your aircrew _ whether you intended to or not.
According to Skyscanner website spokesperson Sam Poullain, cabin crew are in the unique position of meeting people from all walks of life, however, with nearly three million people flying every day, some regular habits and requests can understandably get under their skin.
The global travel search site conducted a survey of 700 international cabin crew members in 85 countries to find out that the most annoying behaviour of passenger was clicking fingers to get the attention of flight attendants (26%), followed by leaving seats after landing but before the seat-belt signs are switched off (13%), trying to stuff too many bags into overhead lockers (11%), and complaining of no space in the lockers (10%).
Other habits which did not please air crew included talking through the safety demo, stuffing rubbish into seat pockets, asking for more blankets or pillows, asking for a different meal, ringing the attendant bell to complain about the temperature, and asking for a specific brand of drink.
In addition, the survey also found cabin crew's dream passengers _ males in their thirties who travel in economy class alone, for pleasure, rather than business.
"This is the first time we've surveyed international cabin crew and the findings give us a real [insight] into what they really think of passengers. The results were certainly not what we expected. Contrary to stereotypes, it's interesting to see that it's the men who get the vote for the perfect passenger, while cabin crews prefer to work in economy rather than premium class," said Mr Poullain.

Lopez is a trained dancer specialising in ballet, jazz and flamenco. She has sold more than 11.8 million albums in the US and 70 million records worldwide. Her hits include Jenny From The Block, Let's Get Loud, and On The Floor (featuring Pitbull).
The influential upbeat pop and Latin singer will host her "Dance Again World Tour" concert on Dec 2 at Stadium Merdeka in Kuala Lumpur.

Teen beauties enjoy Kingdom The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has supported a four-day trip for 12 contestants of the Miss Teen Vietnam 2012 beauty pageant as part of a promotional effort to boost Vietnamese visitors.
The contestants visited Bangkok, Samut Songkhram, Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan and Ayutthaya for pageant activities before returning home for the final stage of the contest. The programme was viewed by more than seven million Vietnamese and was a cost-effective way of exposing Thailand's key tourism attractions, said TAT Ho Chi Minh City office director Chutathip Chareonlarp.
"The viewers could see the best of Thai culture, which will generate a positive image of the country," she said, adding the country's participation in the beauty contest was also part of TAT's celebrity marketing strategy. This year, TAT also hosted the Miss Hong Kong Pageant 2012 finalists and the Miss Czech Republic Beauty Contest 2012.
According to TAT, Vietnam has become one of the fastest-growing sources of visitor arrivals to Thailand.
During January to September 2012, the number of Vietnamese visitors to Thailand increased 23% over the same period last year to 497,289 people. There are more than 100 direct flights between Bangkok and major Vietnamese cities served by Thai Airways International, Vietnam Airlines, Thai Air Asia, Qatar Airways, Turkish Airlines and Lufthansa.
Hotels update n Hyatt is to open its first Hyatt Regency brand in Bangkok. To be located on Sukhumvit Soi 13, the hotel will be part of a mixed-use development that includes a boutique shopping experience and an upscale residential tower. Hyatt Regency Bangkok will feature 288 guestrooms including 26 suites. There will also be a restaurant and bar, club lounge, meeting facilities, ballroom, spa, fitness centre and swimming pool.
The hotel is scheduled to open in 2017.
- Akyra Chura Samui has repositioned its hotel to be an adults-only resort.
Located on Chaweng Beach, the hotel has announced the policy this month to celebrate its one-year operation. It has shifted its focus to travellers looking for a peaceful stay or romantic experience, thus it will not allow children under 12 to stay in the hotel, which offers 61 rooms and suites.
