Banyan Tree Hotels Resorts has named Nopparat Aumpa general manager of Banyan Tree Bangkok. A native of Sukothai, Aumpa's joined The Westin Banyan Tree Hotel in Bangkok in 1996 as assistant manager in the front office.
She earned a BA from Thammasart University and went on to complete the Professional Development Program at Cornell University School of Hotel Management in New York. She is fluent in English as well as Thai.
In her new role, Aumpa is responsible for ensuring that the urban hotel operates in line with the group's mission statement, meeting fiscal and qualitative objectives. She will take charge of leading, coordinating and supervising the entire operational activities in the 61-storey hotel.
