Yes, the banner says Colliers International Wins Top Thailand Property Awards 2012 and that certainly was the case at the Gala Dinner and Awards presentation at the Bangkok Dusit Thani Hotel. On the Colliers website are the results of that industry awards presentation and its impact on the company.
You certainly do sense a powerful statement of 'Mission Accomplished' being made and it is certainly worth sharing the great success of Colliers at this year's Thailand Property Awards with these words from Simon Landy, executive chairman:
Colliers International Thailand emerged the big agency winner at the Thailand Property Awards 2012, regarded as the "Oscars" of the property industry in Thailand at the recent Gala Dinner at the Dusit Thani Hotel.
Colliers is awarded…
Winner – Best Property Consultancy
Winner – Best Residential Agent
(Eastern Seaboard)
Winner – Best Residential Agent (Hua Hin)
Highly Commended – Best Residential Agent (Bangkok)
Highly Commended – Best Commercial Agent
Highly Commended – Best Property Management Company
It is a testament to our professional dedication and the exceptional performance of our staff in providing the very best real services to our client. To win these awards is an outstanding achievement for us, proving that we have emerged as a major player in the Thai property market with a solid reputation for our professional services.
The highly coveted Thailand Property Awards are recognized as a symbol of excellence throughout the real estate industry in Thailand. Now in their seventh year, the awards are a benchmark for real estate agencies, property developers, interior designers and architects in the domestic residential and commercial real estate industry.
Yes, Colliers has come a very long way since 2007 when they decided to combine their resources with Pasupat Realty Co. Ltd., an established and respected Bangkok-based firm with more than 20 years of in-depth, comprehensive knowledge of the property market in Thailand.
Together, those two entities created an industry powerhouse and I couldn't agree more that Colliers has emerged as a major player in the Thai property market with a solid reputation for their professional services. Well done!
One of the things that I find exciting is to watch international real estate franchise industry professionals such as Colliers and their agencies coming into the Eastern Seaboard and doing so well, and raising the bar for a new level of professionalism and industry networking power.
Mark Bowling, senior manager of Residential Sales Leasing and head of Colliers Pattaya branch, took to the stage to accept one of those six trophies on behalf of Colliers Pattaya as the winner for Best Residential Agent (Eastern Seaboard).
Remember, it was just last year (2011) when another formidable industry player, CB Richard Ellis(Thailand) Co., Ltd., better known as CBRE, recieved five coveted property awards: Best Residential Agent (Resort), Best Residential Agent (Bangkok), Best Commercial Agent Thailand, Best Property Consultancy Thailand and Best Property Website Thailand!
Who would have known that just one year later a relative newcomer like Colliers would come along and pull in six award trophies before the night was over?
Looking back on that evening and thinking about the impact that evening of awards was going to have on the company here, Bowling said, "Having previously achieved this prestigious accolade in 2010 we are delighted to be honoured with the award for best residential agent (Eastern Seaboard) once more. The benefits of winning such an outstanding award are huge, not only in terms of the additional business that can be gained from the kudos associated with it, but also for the feel good factor amongst the staff who have all worked so hard since we opened our doors for the first time in 2008. This award is testament to our team's continued endeavours and professionalism resulting from the ever increasing demands from both developers and investors alike. We pride ourselves on our integrity, adaptability and 'can do attitude' throughout all aspects of our business. I would sincerely like thank the entire team for their on-going commitment in ensuring that Colliers International remains the market leader on the Eastern Seaboard".
Yes, Colliers has come a long way in just a matter of years and shows no signs of turning back with nothing but more successes ahead for their head office in Bangkok as well as their Pattaya and Hua Hin offices.
Yes, companies like CB Richard Ellis and Colliers International are on the one hand an industry threat and huge competition to the many mom pop real estate offices that blanket the entire Eastern Seaboard, but what is so very positive about companies of this international stature is that those foreigners and Thais coming into the area looking to purchase and lease properties know that we do have professional and trustworthy real estate agencies and agents here.
I think that it is very healthy for the property business as a whole and that the real estate industry here can only benefit from the confidence companies like Colliers bring to our area.
Yes, this year's Thailand Property Awards certainly brought Colliers International Thailand to a new and well deserved level of attention and respect, which will no doubt lead to many more accolades in the future as Colliers emerged as a major player in the Thai property market.
As one local industry professional who was here years before the big players moved into Pattaya, I say bravo, Mr. Simon Landy, bravo, Mr. Mark Bowling, and Bravo Colliers International Thailand!
