Awareness evening for cats

Written By Unknown on Tuesday, 19 March 2013 | 17:12

There was a good attendance of humans and felines for the social evening held at Pattaya Holiday Lodge, Third Road Pattaya, to publicize the work of two local voluntary agencies Cats4You and the Mabprachan Animal Shelter.  The two groups provide a rescue, neutering and rehoming service for abandoned animals in the Pattaya area.  City Hall was represented by "Jan" Jeerapat, local council member and spokesperson for the local authority, who expressed her support for the work being undertaken.

Paul Finnelly, founder of Cats4You, said that his organization was sometimes overwhelmed by the number of requests for help and could not accommodate every abandoned kitten or cat.  However, Cats4You had been well supported locally by concerned individuals and the media and had achieved good success in rehoming many animals.  He appealed for funds especially needed for veterinary services which many animals needed before being passed on to new owners.
